Description

The B 400 safety-critical heavy-duty relay is equipped with 4 double-make/double-break C/O contacts (Type Z). Weld-free transfer safety contacts come as standard. Its pluggable design features a safety locking mechanism for easy maintenance—no wire disconnection or removal of other hardware is required for relay inspection or replacement.

It meets railway rolling stock standards for shock and vibration resistance. Positive mechanical keying between the relay and socket is integrated into both components during production, and terminal identification is clearly marked on a nameplate permanently fixed to the relay.

The B 400 relay is engineered for ultra-reliable, safety-critical applications such as door control, emergency brake fault detection, traction interlocking and braking systems, and is widely deployed on numerous EMUs worldwide.
