Description

The BK 400 safety-critical heavy-duty weld-resistant relay is equipped with 4 double-make/double-break C/O contacts (Type Z). Weld-free transfer silver tin oxide safety contacts are fitted as standard. Its pluggable design incorporates a safety locking mechanism for convenient maintenance, eliminating the need to disconnect wires or remove other hardware for relay inspection or replacement.It complies with railway rolling stock standards for shock and vibration resistance. Positive mechanical keying between the relay and socket is pre-integrated into both components during production, and terminal identification is clearly printed on a nameplate permanently affixed to the relay.The BK 400 is compatible with the following sockets: EA 102 B, EA 102 BF, EA 103 BF, EA 104 B, EA 104 BF, EA 105 BF, EA 112 BF.

Applications

BK series relays are engineered for safety-critical applications requiring high resistance to contact welding. Fixed contacts are made of silver tin oxide, while moving contacts consist of hard silver laminated onto copper.In the event of power loss, the relay armature will reliably return to a "safe" rest position, driven by the mechanical force of two compression springs.
